What does Women’s History Month mean to you? I come from a long line of strong women so I know firsthand how important this month means to my family and I. Women’s History Month is empowering to me and it excites me to know that my daughter who is seven years old will have the ability to see the great things that we as women have contributed to society so that she, too, can be a part of such a movement. She is being raised to know already that it is perfectly ok to applaud and support another woman without dimming her own light which is great How are you using your gifts to propel women forward?
Professionally Yours has created résumés and held several seminars and private mock interviewing sessions teaching and motivating women (and men) to know their worth in the workforce and how to stand out while competing for their dream career that they are qualified for. Sometimes all it takes is the right words to bring out your skills on paper, which will then bring out your confidence during the interviews. Our greatest rewards are receiving feedback that they have multiple interviews or got the job of their dreams. We’ve also creatively created resumes for entrepreneurs to demonstrate the effectiveness of their business to prospective clients! What advice would you share with readers who are hesitant to pursue their passion? Just do it! You never know who is in need of what you can offer. I, too, was hesitant at first to begin my résumé writing business because I didn’t believe it was in demand at the time. Now, I am so glad that I kept pushing and believing in my business because it has been a help and a blessing to so many people all over the world. So if you are unsure if your passion would be beneficial to someone else, you won’t know unless you do it! Stay positive and believe in your passion. How can readers support your efforts in 2019? Look into our services and make a purchase, share our services on your social media, subscribe to our newsletters, network with us and let us know how we can help you, read our blogs, tell all of your family and friends about us but most importantly just keep us in your prayers!
