Tell us about your latest Mompreneur Moves! My latest move has been expanding my brand into helping women pivot their in-person events into virtual events. It has been a lot of work but so much fun. How do you balance entrepreneurship with motherhood?
I have to first make sure that I take care of myself. I take days to just do whatever it is that I want to do. I schedule everything even "oh ish" moments because they will come up. And I don't beat myself up about not being in balance. On those days when things go crazy, I relax in knowing that it will still be ok and I'm still a good mother. What 3 steps helped you to become successful as a Mompreneur? Consulting with God is the first thing. I make sure to get time with Him first thing every morning. He has guided my steps the whole way on this journey. Being consistent has helped me be successful as well. I have to show up every single day and put in the work. Lastly, I consult with my board of directors, i.e. my family. Keeping my children involved in the daily operations of my businesses helps them not only understand what I'm doing but also why sometimes I may not be available for them. Any advice for mom's who are considering a pivot into entrepreneurship right now? Now is absolutely the best time to get started with your business! Sit down with your family and tell them your plans. To make them feel included, make them your "board of directors" or "advisory board". Explain their roles and how they play an integral part in the business. Make a realistic plan for your business. Be consistent and show up every single day.
