Introduce yourself and tell us about your work as an empowerment speaker and coach: My name is Natalie Fikes and I help professional women improve their health, wealth, and relationships by enhancing their quality of life and well-being. I've watched women settle, play small, and lower their expectations in life, business, and relationships for far too long. By showing women how to increase in confidence so they can walk into any room, develop their character to attract who and what they want in their lives, and gain the clarity they need to make decisions based on big picture thinking, goes a long way in the lives of women.
I believe that there isn't any reason why a woman can't have everything she wants in life, but it starts with getting clear and making decisions that fit the vision they hold for themselves. When a women discovers her "SAUCE"; her purpose and that "thing" that only she can bring in her own unique way, she can begin living a Bold, Beautiful, and Balanced life. I have an amazing ability to show women what they already possess so they can start seeing immediate changes in all areas of their lives.
What inspired you to pursue this area of interest? I was my very first client, so I know what it's like to be successful at being everything but me. By the time I was 26 years old, I had all of my boxes checked, but I was checked out. I had created a life for myself that was disconnected from who I was and what I wanted. I realized that when I transitioned into adulthood I never took the time to tell my life what I wanted. I was burnt out on people pleasing and managing the expectations of others.
I wasn't depressed, I was compressed; the real me was screaming to come out. I started listening to that voice and began a journey of discovery that totally transformed my life. As I began to share my story, I started to see a great need for transformation in women; the same transformation that I experienced, so I decided to commit myself to showing other women how to walk in their purpose and create the life they want.
What advice would you share with other women that are interested in a similar pursuit? Here are three things I feel are absolutely important if you are considering becoming an empowerment speaker/coach, or if your current business isn't taking off the way you'd like it to: 1. Take the time to get you right before you even think about pouring into others. Helping people should never be used as a way to feel better about yourself.
2. Your life should be a demonstration of your work. Let your life speak louder than your words so you won't have to go looking for clients, they'll see you coming and want to work with you. 3. Be authentic, People are tired of being used and abused.
What is next for your brand this Fall? Since my first book "Empowered To Prosper, Discover How To Become The Woman You Were Created To Be was such a success, I will be working on my second book "Put Your Purpose Where Your Pain Is", as I continue to develop products and services that empower women and put the finishing touches on my January 2018 conference.
