Meet: Tashaka Finister

 Introduce yourself and profession to our readers:
 Hello everyone my name is Tashaka Finister. I am a certified Empowerment Coach here in Baton Rouge, La. Motivating people to reach higher levels in life is my area of expertise. 

What inspired you to pursue this area of interest?
The things that inspired me to purse this area of interest is my passion for helping people. All through life my family, friends and co workers come to me for advice or to be a listening ear. When I am able to help someone get through a obstacle its the best feeling in the world. My calling in life is to be a life coach.

What advice would you share with those interested in a similar pursuit? 
My advice to those interested in a similar pursuit is to, study and gain as much knowledge as you can and start with what you have. It would be a great idea to get a mentor that is in the similar field that you want to pursue who can help guide you along the way on your journey. 

 Discuss a professional challenge and how you overcame it:
A professional challenge that I faced in the begin was my lack of marketing, advertising and promoting my brand. I didn't know how to or what to do in order to put my business in front of potential clients, audiences or social media. I took the time to reach out and network with different people who showed me how to promote on social media. I signed up for classes that helped me also with marketing and promoting my brand.

What is next for your brand/business in 2016?
The next thing for my business is speaking engagements. I want to be able to share my story with other people in business.
