Please introduce yourself to readers: Hey Hey! I am Taneka Johnson and independent consultant with paparazzi accessories. What inspired your interest in fashion & jewelry: What truly inspired me about the jewelry was that I could finally wear accessories! I have always struggled with finding accessories that I can wear because I have very sensitive skin, as well as eczema. When I used to look for jewelry and accessories to wear, I would buy them from a few different stores I loved to shop at and would have to quit wearing them after a few days because I would breakout terribly behind my ears or my neck. I finally got to the point where I just kind of stopped wearing costume jewelry all together because I could not find any that would accommodate me. I basically had like a favorite pair of studs that I would wear here and there and then the rest of my jewelry would have to be real jewelry. This was one of the top reasons that I started selling the jewelry and wearing it, because the jewelry is lead and nickel free. I have worn it everyday since then and have not had a breakout or irritation since. I still wear my real jewelry from time to time, but mostly I am always a walking billboard of my brand. Also at a price point like this ($5 & $25) who could pass it up: Tell us about your involvement as an Independent consultant for Paparazzi Accessories:
Well initially when I started paparazzi back in October of 2018, my first and ultimate goal was to replace my part time job. At the time I was working full time, part time, and had just became a full time PhD student. My demands at school were putting a bind on me and I had to figure out how to get some free time added for me to be able to maintain my grades effectively, but still make money on my time. So I signed up with paparazzi and told myself I would give it 90 days to see if it really worked for me. Well I am happy to say that I was able to replace my part time job after 30 days because of the effort I put in to really make it work and the goal that I wanted to meet. I turned in my two week notice to my second job November of 2017. Now here I am 2 years, still getting paid to empower, bling, and coach women to do the same thing. Currently I am a Director rank with paparazzi and I lead a team of 36 ambitious women who are making a difference with $5 jewelry. There are a lot of consultants, but the beauty is that all of our inventory is different and we don't all have the same things. We all put our own spin on our brands and have our own audiences. It's beautiful that so many people (men & women) are able to do the same opportunity, in different ways, and have fun by putting their own uniqueness into it. There is enough money and opportunity for all of us to make it! What is next for you in 2020? What's next for me in 2020 is a lot more travel vending. I do a lot of events in my hometown of Memphis, TN, but I love when I have travel events! There is nothing like meeting new people in a new territory and expanding my network. This expands my opportunities. I am always actively recruiting for my team and working to have a team of 50 by June 30 before our convention. I am also going to be doing more vendor opportunities for my life coaching and consulting business to gain more opportunities in that area too. I am also working on getting my non profit together. There is always something new going on with me. How can readers support you online?
