Please introduce yourself and brand to readers: Hello! I am Ronika Middleton, a girls empowerment leader and speaker. I am the Founder and Executive Director of Our Daughters’ Village, a nonprofit organization that empowers girls to build confidence and self-esteem for middle school girls. ![]() What inspired you to pursue this area of interest? I struggled with building my confidence and self-esteem during my teen years, so I wanted help teen girls get the resources and support to overcome that struggle. This led to me getting my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Counselor Education at Clemson University. Any advice to ladies interested in the same type of work? If you are interested making an impact in the world, start within your community. Serving is how you find meaning to your life, so find something that you are passionate about and go make a difference! What is next for you in 2020? I will continue to finish our second year with Our Girls Academy Program in Fort Mill, SC. I just accepted a Board Member position for the Children’s Attention Home in Rock Hill, SC to help support the needs of teens that are currently in group home facilities.
