Introduce yourself and profession to our readers: I am Pamela D. Smith, wife, mother, evangelist, life coach, speaker, author. I believe in the empowerment of those who I come into contact with so that they are equipped to handle life's difficulties. What inspired you to pursue this area of interest? I was inspired to pursue these areas when it was hard for me to find the very thing that I needed at the time, which was empowerment, motivation, encouragement. Not that It's not out there, I had just not been intentional in surrounding myself around it. What advice would you share with those interested in a similar pursuit?
Anyone who is interested in evangelizing, life coaching, or anything similar needs to make sure you are teachable so that you can be taught. The only thing that can come out of you is what is in you. Also make sure that you have patience. You have to be it, operate in it, and hold on to it LONG before the title, license, or any of that commercial stuff is given to you. For this type of purpose you have to dedicate your life to service and the good will of others. Discuss a professional challenge and how you overcame it: My biggest challenge has been in ministry. Many still believe that women should not preach and for so long I had not had the word of God rightfully divided to me so I believed that. Until it came to a point where I could no longer force myself to submit to that belief that so many of us learned in error. I begin to look at how effective other women in ministry were and I became convinced that with all of the healing and delivering that other women of God were doing, it had to be of God. There's no way the devil will or can anoint these women for the glory of God. That's not his mission. His is to steal, kill, and destroy so if he can steal, kill, destroy, and silence us women then he has won. I believe that 1 Timothy 2:12 has been misinterpreted and explained in error. I believe it speaks more on us women trying to have authority over a man which is total out of order. So I stand on the scripture Romans 16: 3, Paul refers to Priscilla and Aquila as his co-workers meaning we do the same kind of work. We work alongside each other. I remind myself daily that as long as God is getting the glory then my preaching, teaching, evangelizing is not in vain. Anyone who tries to hinder the work of the Lord is of their father, the devil. What is next for your brand/business in 2017? I will be releasing a prayer CD later this year so be on the lookout. It's going to be a blessing to a lot of people.
