This led to her pursuing and obtaining her Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University. After graduation with her Master’s Degree, LeShanda then worked as a Human Resources Supervisor where she managed over 100 employees for a major shipping client site. She then went on to become a recruiter with a major insurance company and subsequently oversaw their vendor management system. Looking for more opportunities, LeShanda relocated to Charlotte, NC where she landed a role as a HR Coordinator. After a short stint in this role, where she performed in more of a generalist capacity, she moved into the Employee Relations realm of HR. From there, she helped open up a HR Service Center for a major food service company.
There she helped implement all of the systems and was instrumental to the initial pilot being a success. Next, she went on to work with an international consulting firm where she served as a Human Resources Manager and then the Senior Lead of the Employee Relations department for North America. LeShanda was afforded the opportunity to work in several countries such as India and Dubai. She traveled to train and develop her colleagues on American laws and compliance. Currently, she works to defend her company and mitigate risk as a Regional Employee Relations Manager. Now LeShanda combines all of the skills and resources that she has acquired in Human Resources over the years to teach and develop her peers, Senior management and employees in the field. This has earned her the prestigious 2014 Human Resources Achiever award and acceptance into the Director Readiness Training program at her present company. LeShanda has served as Chairperson on the Committee for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure against breast cancer since 2011. She has volunteered in various capacities in training individuals on job training and development. She is also a member of the South Carolina Autism society.
