Introduce yourself and PWIB to our readers:
Hi, I am Adria Robinson, CEO/Founder of Powerful Women In Business™, Powerful Men In Style™ and Adria Robinson Consulting Inc. My gift is to inspire women to break out of the box, pursue their purpose, and fulfill their greatest entrepreneurial potential. I am most recognized for my business leadership and success. Im the 2015 Global Award Winner of the SheRo Award, 2016 Unstoppable Woman "Female Entrepreneur of the Year" Award Nominee and 2017 Woman Who Soars Award Recipient.
Most recently, I reached a milestone of organic growth of 12,000+ members in my social media group, PWIB™, which has become a business development hub for interaction among new and long-standing female entrepreneurs, as well as those contemplating the entrepreneurial leap. By establishing unity among a large organization comprised solely of women, I have not only begun to nullify negative stereotypes about all-female networking organizations. I’ve become a global magnet to other women also wanting to organize a sustainable female organization—a success tribe.
My passion to serve others, resilience from a harsh and troubled past, and my faith are evident in my work as a Business and Social Media Brand Strategist for female entrepreneurs. My dedication to helping women relates to a desire for sharing my personal experiences of failure and hard knocks toward creating paths that will ultimately save countless young women from pitfalls in their business, as well as their social and personal lives.
What inspired you to pursue this area of interest?
What inspired me to pursue women empowerment and business consulting because I didn’t have a network of women when I started that encouraged me to stay on top of my business. I had to make a lot of mistakes on my own in order to get to where I am. I am passionate about teaching women the importance of supporting one another as well as giving them the resources they need to build profitable brands.
What advice would you share with those interested in a similar pursuit?
The advice I would share to people interested in my field is first to make sure that you’re passionate about it. You have to be able to learn how to be a great leader, Be creative, work hard and build solid relationships.
Discuss a professional challenge and how you overcame it:
One challenged that I faced was building solid partnerships and collaborations. At first, I would partner with anyone with hopes that we both had the same goal for our businesses but unfortunately not everyone does business the same way you do or even ethically. I had to get burnt several times to learn the characteristics of the right partner.
What is next for your brand/business in 2017?
Ohh I am so excited that my Adria Robinson Consulting Firm is currently being rebranded as The Business Bae Inc™ . My main focus is helping entrepreneurs fall AND stay in love with their business. That’s all I’m going to say about that. #SHHHHHH
