Share your current efforts as a Creative CEO: Starting a business, owning a business and chasing your dreams are hard. Yet, CEO’s do it. We fail and we keep going. We find new ways and we keep pursuing. There are no days off. As a CEO everyday you think about your business, What’s next? The hurdles you have to overcome and the goals you are trying to reach. Fashion Design has its own battles in its self. You always have to stay ahead of trends. You have to either start the trend or be one of the first to do it. What inspired these pursuits?
I’ve been in love with fashion since a child. Wearing my mom shoes and clothes and modeling through the house. What I did not know was that I’d be a fashion designer. Believe it or not I wanted to be a Marine Biologist. But fashion was my calling. I was labeled best dress in school and this very mature unique style. My mother was a huge influence on my fashion. She still is a very fashion forward role model to me. Any success advice for women in your industry? Stay creative. Stay true to yourself. Market things you would wear. Wear it. You are your biggest supporter. Do not be afraid to take pictures and rock your designs. There is a client out there for every style. Keep pushing, even if you take a few steps back, gather yourself and take the next step forward. What is next for you in 2022? Exposure to more editorial, more fashion shows, and more clientele across the world. I am also looking forward to hiring a few dedicated people to join the D. La’Rue Fashion Headquarters. I predict big growth for my company and I am excited to see it all happen. How can readers connect with you online? I can be found conveniently at TheLaRue.com I am also on facebook Twitter and Instagram as PrincessDLaRue
