Introduce yourself and the nature of your coaching business:
My name is Ebony Ellis and I am the Founder of Officially She LLC. My signature program is my membership club, Phenomenally Free. During this 10 month program, I teach women how to create action plans to battle self-limiting beliefs and stop self-defeating behavior through journaling. Membership includes group coaching, themed subscription boxes of tools and treats to help members work through the related topic (received every 60 days) and my guided journals. The journals are designed to help members build a plan to tackle those areas of our lives where our inner critic tends to yell the loudest. Some topics are Emotional Triggers, Building Boundaries and Sticking to them, Goal Setting and every one's favorite, Money. What inspired you to become a CEO?
Having worked for most of life as part of somebody else’s vision I wanted to build upon my own dream and create something I could be proud of. I would look at the people I would be working for and think I could be investing this time and energy into building my own empire, but always being pulled into the spiral of the responsibility of being a working adult with bills and commitments, would then sabotage those dreams never thinking I could make it happen. Having entrepreneur mentors and muses definitely inspired me to become my own CEO and explore opportunities and take chances on the things that made me feel aligned with my purpose. I think becoming a mother and wanting to create that working/mother/life balance also became a huge motivation for me to finally start my business and become my own boss, whilst still allowing me the ability to be there for my kids and my family as well. It is not an easy feat to achieve and take so much work, sacrifice, wins and losses but if the end result is financial, personal and mental freedom to create your blueprint in this world, the hardships are just par for the course. Introduce yourself. I am Dr. Missy Johnson, Speaker International Amazon 3X Best-Selling Author and BreakFree Coach for women. I am the recipient of the President Obama Lifetime Achievement Award and the Michigan Chronicle Women of Excellence, Executive Trainer, a certified John Maxwell Corporate Trainer and Neuroscience Leadership Coach and inspiring movie producer. What inspired you to pursue this area of interest? I beat the odds when the world gave up on me after several near-death experiences, I decided to brand my talent, gifts, and skillset. I show women how to transfer their knowledge into their own business and get paid for it. After being offered a buyout from my dream career, I had to start over. It was difficult, stressful, and devasting because I attended college, obtained all these degrees, and jobless. I discover that many women were in my exact situation. Therefore, I decided to create platforms to help them accelerate in their personal brands. Share the three key steps that helped you bring your vision to life? My name is Taji De Souza. I am a Radio Personality, Host, Wardrobe Stylist. I am the Executive Producer & Host for "LIVE" with Taji Show, Executive Producer for the Fashion Coffee Virtual Fashion Show, and NYFW Style UP Coordinator. Last but not least, I'm the Host for U-GAME, an adult gaming experience for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events. What makes you a visionary? I am visionary because of my creative senses. I like to think outside the box to keep my audience coming back for more. I do this is by putting myself in my audience's shoes and asking myself "What would I like to see that I have not seen before"? "What would I like to hear that I have not heard before"? "What would I like to do that I have not done before"? I apply this by incorporating fun-filled aspects in my businesses. As a Radio Personality for "LIVE" with Taji, I include questions for my guests that a buyer may want to ask. For example, 'How much is your merchandise? Why do you prefer doing pop up events over online services?' Believe it or not, some entrepreneurs would rather send you to their website before revealing a price point. I engage my guests by presenting fun segments that I am known for, such as "Tap In/Tap Out" and "Shyt Stirring", which includes trending topics. It is all about the approach, personality, knowledge of one's business, and your aura. I think of ways one would be intrigued by a fun and unique point of view. Hosting Adult Game Nights for U-GAME includes my gift of hospitality by providing food, drinks, seating, music, and more. I curated customized games that are played for fun interaction. My customary games have attendees coming back for more, why? Because my games are inexplicably different. People like different. As a Wardrobe Stylist. I am the one that envisions the looks that clients never would have imagined to be placed together. As a stylist, I create a boost to a client's style. It takes time to put a look together to make it not your own, but their own. Colors, themes, and trends play a major part. Share the 3 key steps that helped you bring your vision to life. The three key steps that helped me bring my vision to life are motivation, support, and networking. You cannot excel as an entrepreneur without being motivated, whether self or external. I am motivated through music. Music has been the key to my soul since I came out of the womb. The words of a song and even the beat makes my day better because it is uplifting to me. I can either relate to the words or read into the words for growth. Mary J. Blige, "Just Fine" is a great energy booster. I ain't gon let nothing get in my way! Supporting others is another major key. I honestly believe that we must give support to receive support. Ask yourself as an entrepreneur, 'How can I truly get genuine support If I am not applying it myself?' I attend music showcase events, album release parties, networking events, whether through a personal or general invite. I also go to grand openings, birthday celebrations, fashion shows, and visit Zoom, Instagram, Facebook Lives, and purchase services and/or merchandise from entrepreneurs such as TNT, Pieces of Wisdom, Mad Muzik Cali, She Is E-Magazine and many more. I also ensure to tag guests and businesses associated with the photos I post on my social media pages and ask people to go follow and support other entrepreneurs. Networking, my final key, is considered a blessing to me. You never know who you'll meet that can steer you in the right direction for your business. I have met many CEOs, videographers, photographers, fashion designers, models, makeup artists, hairstylists, music artists, event curators, publicists, managers, and the list goes on. Each has had a significant place in my business growth. What is next for you in 2020? What is next for Taji? More "LIVE" with Taji podcast interviews, Fashion Coffee virtual fashion shows, and U-GAME Adult Game Night Events. This is not limited to Zoom, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube. I will be back in the studio and hosting in-person gaming events when this pandemic is truly under control. Fashion Coffee has been contacted to provide wardrobe styling for a major TV network. My team and I are setting my biopic in motion for filming & production towards the end of this year as well! How can readers connect with you online? I was inspired to become a CEO simply because I knew it was my duty. I know that God had not placed several gifts in me by mistake. I know that it’s my responsibility to fulfill each and every one of them. Introduce yourself and the nature of your coaching business:
Hi, I'm Shawnte Mckinnon the CEO of Mckinnon Strategic Consulting Group and the Money Mindset Mastery (Business Financial Coaching Course). I’ve always had an affinity for numbers and people. Little did I know how impactful the intersection of those two passions would truly be. I initially set out to be a psychologist”, but as fate would have it, I found myself on a 14- year career path of accounting and finance. After serving four years in the United States Air Force and working in corporate, I pursued my degrees in Business Administration. I went on to earn an undergrad in Business Administration and then an MBA with the Jack Welch Management Institute. “Who better than to learn from other than one of the greatest CEOs of our time?” What inspired you to become a CEO?
I have wanted to own a business all my life, as a kid I use to sketch dresses and I wanted a plus size boutique filled with all my favorite brands. As I got older that desire shifted, I wanted my own brand. I wanted to be able to CEO to teach my son what it takes to run a business and be able to create a legacy to pass to down to him. What inspired you to become a CEO?
I was inspired to become a CEO after serving 8 years in the United States Army. Being under such strict rules, discipline at another level and during an active War The Gulf war. The military conditioned me to know that I could do anything I put my mind to. So I worked a job and gigs at the same time to support my being able to do what I loved which overall is providing next level service in any area I choose. What inspired you to become a CEO?
I believe it’s so very important to make an impact in this world. Believing there is a profound shift taking place globally in terms of lifestyle, education, and technology, I recognize the social and psychological needs of our society have never been greater. I started my coaching and business consulting boutique firm. Called- Evoking Change Consulting Group to help men and women learning how to identify there blind spots – and address the bad behaviors that are impeding professionals in gaining greater success in areas such as leadership development, personal development self- consciousness, communication skills and learning the power of executive presence. Learning skills to grow into the C-SUITE. Introduce yourself and the nature of your coaching business: My name is Sabrina Davis-Lee, in 2009 I gained my M.A. in Business Administration and I currently have acquired 20 certificates within the beauty and spa industry. I not only teach women the skills I have learned, but I also, prepare them to launching, owning and operating their own business like myself. For 7+ years I have been a successful business owner and, just this year I have helped over 250 women. What inspired you to become a coach?
The beauty and spa industry is a do-it-yourself trade and in order to succeed you must, not only, work hard, but also, research and learn what works for you, independently. I realized how helpful it would be to women similar to me if I guided them and provided them with the useful tips I didn’t have, so I created a sisterhood with this intention. By helping them gather financial and vendor resources to fund their business and produce revenue, along with giving them branding and marketing tools, I have created a network of professionals. All of which, essentially assist my students with website and logo creation, among many other tools that aid them in building their brand. What top 2 problems does your coaching solve? • Securing financial resources • Branding & Marketing Any advice to readers that may be facing those problems right now? • Invest in yourself, research the geographic area you would like to start your business in, your target demographic, find a trustworthy team of experts, and believe in yourself.
