Women's History month is the world's reminder that women have been and continue to be vital to the building and sustaining of a society that sometimes overlooks us. Our contributions, our voices, and our presence run deep and for that we should be celebrated. This is also one of the critical points in time where women must build relationships, collaborate, and celebrate one another. What does Women's History Month mean to you? What Women’s History Month means to me is to amplify the voice of women honoring the past, informing the present, and inspiring and encouraging the future of women from all cultures, diverse, and aspects of life. From our natural curves, to changing constantly growing, and glowing everyday; giving birth to life; recovering or excepting the fact that to give life could also result in death, to achieve any and everything a man can do; yet we are emotional profound at times but we are strong and confident. We dwell heavily on our intuition and most of the time we are right. It’s the gift of spirituality and maturity; therefore, this is what makes us remarkably unique beings.

Known as “The Duchess of Crochet,” Felicia Dietrich born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, I was surrounded by gifted and talented singers, dancers, and fashionable family members which lead from generation to generation. By the time I entered high school, I knew that designing was something that she wanted to do professionally. A foolish childhood decision could have ruined my dream before it got off the ground. I was a high school drop-out. Although this happened years ago, there’s still a hint of sadness in my heart for doing this. When I entered high school it wasn’t the school of my choice. I did not want to attend the high school that I was assigned to. I wanted to go to trade school for sewing. Unfortunately, there were no more seats available. I was disappointed so I dropped out of school completely. It only took a year for me to realize that she had made a mistake. I got my GED and then went to college where I received an Associate Degree of Applied Science, concentrating in Apparel Retailing. 1. What does Women's History Month mean to you?
It is a privilege and honor to acknowledge and celebrate Women. As a woman myself it is a great recognition as Women's History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. My belief is: You do not have to be famous to be impactful, and you don't have to be great to get started, but you must get started to be great! So many women in our community make significant contributions daily that goes noticed and/or un-noticed and Women's History Month is a way for Women to be recognized for their contributions all around the globe! 1. What does Women's History Month mean to you?
Women’s History Month is a time when history honors HERstory. And “her” is any woman brave enough to step out and do something different. It’s a time where those who were once deemed as the minority can step up to the plate, hit the ball, and create a home-run for themselves – as well as others! This month means that a lot of women are making a decision to live out loud and love who they are. And I, for one, am honored to be a part of it. What does Women's History Month mean to you?
Women’s History Month means one word: EMPOWERMENT. For so long women have been ignored and treated as if we’re the bottom of the totem pole when in fact we are at the top. This world couldn’t move if it were not for woman, so it’s important that we empower ourselves and other women. It’s important to cheer them on and not look at other women as competition. Our businesses may have to compete against each other but that doesn’t mean we can’t be supportive. There’s a million brands who sell the same things so understand that your lane is your lane and no one else can change that. If we empower then we move mountains as women. 1.
