Introduce yourself and profession to our readers: My family and friends know me as Tera, the world knows me as Tera Carissa, the first and middle of my full name Tera Carissa Hodges. What inspired you to pursue this area of interest? (laughs)) When you are truly called by God, you don't choose ministry, ministry, empowerment, and outreach chooses you. I just wrapped up a call with a high school classmate who said another classmate told her to tell me I've been inspiring people since high school, when I was 14 advising like I was 40 ((laughs)).
What advice would you share with those interested in a similar pursuit? Stay true to you. It's OK to be inspired by other people, but never attempt to duplicate other people. Every sermon, every quote I share is what God has given me to give to you. I'm convinced that's why doors are flying open for me. I'm seeking God for direction, not man. Discuss a professional challenge and how you overcame it: Jealousy is rampant anytime you are doing well. I always tell people navigate jealousy with focus. Stay focused on your goals and pretty soon, you'll be so embedded in your destiny, you won't have room to even consider if you have detractors. What is next for your brand/business in 2018? ((laughs)) I'm literally in the middle of launching 3 new businesses. I'm strengthening my presence with a brand I've been working with for almost 2 years now, and of course the international empowerment outreach and ministry God has given me, won't stop.
