How do you define "Go Getter' and what inspired you to incorporate this messaging with your brand?
A go-getter is someone who has a goal and wants to go get that goal. The struggle is around what action to take to go get that goal. My media content company shares actionable strategies to go get your goals across my social media platforms @speakershinjini, and soon, on our proprietary media platform that we are building to motivate go-getters to go get their goals. There is a gap in the motivational marketplace of actionable, motivational content led by a young immigrant woman of color who reaches global audiences.
What are the 5 secrets of a Go-Getter in 2020?
1. Go-getters believe that they will write some of the greatest stories ever written = Self-confidence.
2. Go-getters put themselves first to be of service and value to those around them = Self-respect.
3. Go-getters think about the next move to inspire and enable the world = Personal impact.
4. Go-getters keep their circles of friends and family close = Family and friends.
5. Go-getters are proud of how far they have come, but they know that they have more to go = Progress.
If you could give yourself any business advice 5 years ago, what would that be?
Focus on aligning your social media audience into potential buyers of your motivational brand sooner to ease the flow between social media online audience acquisition and an easier path to sale for the initial series of digital products e.g. memoir at 26 and 1-hour consults.
What does a successful 2020 look like for Shinjini Das?
A successful 2020 for me would be a fully built out team and operational, people operations, and financial structure here at Das Media Group focused on growing the reach of our proprietary media platform to motivate #GoGetters to go get their goals. As well, consistently growing self-identified go-getters audiences across all of my social media platforms correlating to and with consistently growing business revenue originating from (1) "Unapologetically, Shinjini" Memoir at 26 Sales, (2) 1-Hour GoGetter Consultations, (3) GoGetter Content Brand Partnerships, (4) GoGetter Event Brand Partnerships, and (5) GoGetter Merchandise potentially down the line. We are excited!
Any last words you'd like to share with readers?
I don't have any connections to and with the media. I graduated as an industrial engineer from Georgia Tech in 2014 with a background in competitive public speaking since high school. Everything I have achieved with starting a media company at 24 has been because of my own grit, resolve, and mission to motivate go-getters to go get their goals. Every connection I have today, I have opened myself. The power of determination, resolve, grit, and ultimately, leading with value to attract connections your way has been critical to my journey.
