1. Please introduce yourself and brand to our readers:
My name is Kearn Crockett Cherry. I am a speaker, coach, master connector and collaborator. I am the co-Founder and Director of Success Women's Conference which had almost 1,100 attendees last year. I am also co-owner of PRN Home Care which is over 22 years old.
Some of the topics that I speak on: "How to Put Butts in the Seats", How to Raise Funds for Your Event/Conference", "Turning Connections into Major Collaborations", How to Get the Most Out of Your Conference Booth", and many more. I am the host/executive producer of "Unwrinkled Heart Caregivers' Journeys". I'm an co-author in two anthologies: Women Inspiring Nations Volume 2 - "Success Must Be Taken" and "Unboxed".
2. What inspired you to pursue this area of interest?
I have over 30 years in the healthcare field with a degree in Occupational Therapy. I enjoy helping caregivers find resources and services. My home care business and TV show allows me to accomplish that. Success Women's Conference is just one of the many conferences that I have created over the last 20 years. It allows me to fulfill another passion which is connecting and empowering women. Women love to gather and meet up. What better way to do that than t to bring speakers and celebrities to the Mississippi Gulf Coast that would not even think of coming to MS.
3. What advice would you share with a reader interested in the same work?
For healthcare the baby boomers are getting older and definitely need help. It's a rapidly growing industry. If you love caring for people, then this could be great industry for you.
For Success Women's Conference, you must be invested. It can't be a hobby. I find that most people who create conferences don't know how to get people to their event, raise money and get vendor participate. Those are some of the thing that I teach about.
4. What is next for you in 2019?
I am working on my new podcast K Konnections for Fall 2019 and a book collaboration for 2020.
