I create inspirational blogs and vlog posts – always willing to encourage people of how great they are. www.katrinacurrie.com
I am a realtor with Keller Williams along the Mississippi Gulf Coast kcurrie.kwrealty.com.
My brand is all about being a human capital contributor and developer. The power of helping people find their voice or garnering people with the tools and confidence of their story, brand, and strengthening them by helping them to identify or harvest more effectively their gifts. With that said, as part of the aforementioned roles, I operate and invest my time; I understand that for every level, I have to look over the landscape of how I operate and invest my time.
What inspired you to pursue this area of interest? I have been deeply inspired to build and develop human capital because whether it is helping someone increase their brand, productivity, and profitability in their own business or providing a person to boost their career path, guidance how to become more marketable, how to better serve and allow situations to better serve them. This is the thread in every role I operate in; realtor, curriculum developer, facilitator, chair of a non-profit, writer, marriage builder, makeup artist, and more. The roles I am in are not all over the place, yet they complement one another like a beautiful tapestry.
What advice would you share with a reader interested in the same work? I would advise getting laser-focused. Assess what is essential to meet the needs of the people you serve. Find out their why, their story, their voice, what is their passion, and vision. If the person you are working with cannot articulate their vision, all is not lost. Ask questions to see where their passion lie. Ask them their why and how. Now, if they cannot answer those fundamental questions, then concerns come into question as if they are ready to launch or even go higher.
I advise that if someone is having trouble identifying their strengths, as you build human capital, you encourage the person to take StrengthFinders, MBTI (Myer Briggs Type Indicator), DiSC personality, or some tool that assists them in their journey. I usually would like to see StrengthFinders before I meet with someone. This is my fundamental practice, so I can better mentor the person I am helping. When the foundation is solid, it is built to last.
What is next for you in 2019? 2019 and 2020 are full of higher heights and deeper depths. With that said, as a makeup artist, I have provided services in film production as well as done some background or acting roles. 2020 I desire to bring to life a vision I have had since the end of 2011 – Courtship Reconciliation. I certainly want to be part of the narrative of a positive television show that uplifts marriage and the beauty of a Godly union. It will be a show about restoration, forgiveness, securing, protecting, and encouraging marriage. Bringing the elements of solid faith-based Christian counseling, tools, and ideas to keep marriages together. We have a generation who needs to know that marriages can be solid, marriages (if something has happened) can be redeemable and restored, and the beauty of covenant relationship.
Faith-based Christian Television and Streaming opportunities are what’s deep in my heart and the next step for me.
