Introduce yourself and tell us about your brand: Hi there! I am Jorelle, more famously known as Relle! My brand name is "Let's Get Relle." I am a well rounded city-country girl with a passion for all things food, fashion, and travel. All of my content is surrounded by my three favorite things to do in life all while sharing resources for others to do the same. What inspired your professional pursuits and how is your platform unique? My inspiration started at home back in Virginia. I grew up in a large household with good ole southern cooking and free range to be as artistic as I wanted to be. My mom truly had a huge impact on me as a child. She pushed me to be the best that I can be. I was never allowed to use the word(s) CAN'T or CAN NOT in my vocabulary. It was unheard of; almost as if it was a curse word.
As I got older and wiser, and I made the decision to go to school to act. It seemed apparent that I had a knack to inspire others through storytelling and acting. I attended The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and that was only the beginning. After graduation, I went back home for a bit then moved to Atlanta where I was truly welcomed with open arms. After a while of contemplating, I felt a strong pull to begin my blogging adventures under Let's Get Relle and it has taken off better than I expected. My platform is unique because I do not maintain the same characteristics and "look" of what we see in society today. There is hardly anything positive, let alone inspirational things to follow. I pray on what I should write about because I never know who it may touch. I've learned how deep words really are. I don't have my brand to simply make money but to create an outlet for those that say "hmm I want to read something different." That is where I come in the picture and stand out from the rest. If I lead by example, others will follow. I'm in the business of leadership and whatever I say or do is a representation of who I am. What is next for you in 2018? In 2018, my goal is to expand my brand by beginning a small nonprofit organization that caters to creative and like minded individuals of all ages. I want to pour into others the way I was poured into. What advice would share with those interested in building a brand as a recognized influencer? The best advice I can share with aspiring influencers who would like to build a brand would be to just do it. -Do not hesitate, do not be fearful, or discouraged. Many people stop because they've received a handful of "no's." There is someone out there willing to give you a yes. -Do not focus on what everyone is doing around you or try to imitate them based on their success either. Understand what it means to stay true to your niche and allow your creativity to flow in an organic manner. People flock towards authenticity. -Do NOT overwhelm yourself and try to do everything. This was one of my struggles. If you can't handle some things, it is okay to take a step back. People will see that it is too much for you especially if you reach out to them for a chance. Take it a step at a time and remain constant. As long as you are working towards a goal, no matter if the process is fast or slow your work will be recognized. People are always watching your every move and as an influencer, you now have a voice to share. USE IT. I personally include myself in every ounce of advice I share also. How can readers connect with you online and through social media? Readers can connect with me through almost all social media sites. Most importantly, my blog is a perfect way to connect with me through comments or emails submitted.
