What inspired you to pursue this area of interest?
I find joy in serving at risk youth in helping them achieve their goals. To be honest they also inspire her to continue achieving her goals as well. In 2015, Chozen Counselors Inc. a non-profit organization which seeks to inspire, motivate, empower and strengthen individuals and families by way of conferences, workshops, literature and other events was launched.
What advice would you share with those interested in a similar pursuit?
Don’t despise small beginnings. It takes work, more work, hard work and dedication. Everyone will not see what you see but don’t let it stop you. When hosting events focus on pouring all that you can into those that took the time to come and support you. It also takes funds. These funds will initially come directly from you. Don’t go cheap on your dream. Be consistent in your grind, it is worth it and it will pay off.
Discuss a professional challenge and how you overcame it:
As a therapist you are always cheering for your clients to obtain their goals; however, sometimes one can forget the goals whether professional or personal for themselves. Every so often I am inspired to climb another tier of life. Clients at times feel that you are abandoning them
What is next for your brand/business in 2016?
