Please introduce yourself to our readers:
Hey! My name is Ebony Alexis I’m a media journalist, Makeup Artist and bartender. I’m originally from Tampa, Florida and I currently reside In Atlanta, GA.
Tell us about your work as a host and media journalist:
I have an Entertainment Company, Ebony Alexis Entertainment, also known as “EA Entertainment” its a media platform based in Atlanta, Georgia. EA Entertainment covers Awards shows, conducts Celebrity Interviews, provides media coverage, hosts events and parties. EA Entertainment has also provided media coverage for several movie premiers, conferences, and award shows. I want to provide a platform to discuss things in our community that are important yet sometimes overlooked. I want to deliver news in an effective and entertaining way.
What 2 tips would you share with readers who desire to be successful in this area?
I would tell anyone to start where you are, with the tools that you have. Sometimes we get so caught up in social media and thinking things are supposed to be a certain way. You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to at least start to be great. The second tip would be to network. Networking is key in this industry.
As a beauty enthusiast, you also help women look their best. What advice would you share with women regarding how to boost their self-confidence?
As a beauty enthusiast, I would encourage women to be COMFORTABLE in their own skin. As much as I LOVE Makeup, I’m not that girl that can’t leave the house without it. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. If you aren’t confident wake up EVERY SINGLE DAY look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful until you BELIEVE it. Focus on the things you love about yourself instead of what you don’t. You have to believe it first if you want to project it onto others. Lastly, don’t ever compare yourself to anyone, especially celebs with a glam team on payroll lol... Love you... for YOU and everyone else will too.
What is next for you in 2019 and how can readers connect with you online?
In 2019, I have a series of awesome projects I’m working on, one of which is called Black Girl Magic Monthly which is a positive platform for black women where I will highlight one inspirational woman for an exclusive interview each month! I’m excited for this because there’s always SO MUCH negativity, hate and comparison in our community, especially with our women. The page is @blackgirlmagicmonthly follow to stay updated! Also my social media is @itsebonyalexis and my makeup and beauty page is @ebonyalexisbeauty
