Please introduce yourself to our readers. I am Kookie Maddox, a military veteran, and the founder and CEO of Ready Rise Release LLC/K3R Health and Fitness, a coaching company. As a passionate and purposeful certified professional coach with additional certifications in personal fitness training, nutrition, and transformational coaching, my coaching programs and methods focus on the lifelong resiliency, empowerment, and the total health and wellness transformation of my clients. Through interrelating the connection between fixed goals, intention, and motivation, I evoke change within my clients by providing motivation, accountability, and collaborative support to help them push beyond obstacles and setbacks that hinder goal success. As a trauma survivor I have personally faced many setbacks and obstacles, due to dealing with trauma related residuals, so I believe that this experience is what allows me to have a more profound connection with both men and women, who are at breaking points within their lives and unable to move forward on their goals. My hallmark programs key in on unlocking a higher level of meaning in your life, obtaining more joy and fulfillment, progressing beyond challenges, optimizing your health and wellness, and being more attuned to relationships, health, and creative expression. In addition to being a certified coach, I am the author of Living Life Beyond the Mess and host of The Talk Spot LIVE Presents Dear Coach Kookie: # A Beautiful Mess. Through my podcast initiative, I combine my extensive experience in coaching and mentoring, as well as knowledge in resiliency training facilitation, organizational development, leadership and communications, through conferred degree studies, to spread the message of empowerment and resiliency “to contribute to a world where resiliency is actual and the standard”, as I often state.
What makes you a visionary? I believe in seeing things as if they already are. That- is the key element of resiliency. You must see it to achieve it. Therefore, I envision resiliency, then with focus and discipline, I set out to develop a (s)pecific, (m)easurable, (a)chievable, (r)ealistic, and (t)imely goal, and make it actual. This, I feel has always been key in my ability to not only be a successful coach, but a successful leader regarding my military career and corporate professions, respectfully. Share the 3 key steps that helped you bring your vision to life: I feel that perseverance and determination has been the foundations of accomplishing my goals and my steps are very thorough, clear and applicable. I simply: 1-Envision 2- Plan 3- Execute I feel that we get so caught up in the rhetoric of being leaders, motivators, and empowerers, so to the point that we can sometimes convolute how we convey the steps of bringing the vision into fruition, with what we believe is “the more the better”. Through client feedback, potential clients don’t desire to have to guess, wonder, or need a translator to understand the layout of a plan of action to achieve a goal. I always feel like the less ambiguity, the better the chances are to invoke commitment and to successfully carry out the vision. That is how I approach my goals. This is what I foster and implement when collaborating with my coaching clients as well. What is next for you in 2021? I came in to 2021 intentional and ready to commit to action. As we faced a worldwide pandemic and I was forced to maneuver through another personal challenging time of my life, I successfully self-published my first book- and I am ready to get this message out to the world. 2020 was an incredibly challenging year for everyone. I feel that we were all forced into what I call, “the be still and plan phase”. Again, in that phase I dealt with a great amount of life altering challenges, but I still planned and strategized and kept my vision in my sights. So now that I’ve made applicable adjustments coming into 2021, I’m ready to move forward and put my plans in motion. My time is now. How can readers connect with you online?
