What inspired you to become a CEO?
I was inspired to become a CEO after serving 8 years in the United States Army. Being under such strict rules, discipline at another level and during an active War The Gulf war. The military conditioned me to know that I could do anything I put my mind to. So I worked a job and gigs at the same time to support my being able to do what I loved which overall is providing next level service in any area I choose.
If you could share business advice with yourself 10 years ago, what would you say?
First, I would want to go back about 20 years, I worked in the Real Estate Industry and made a lot of money and I blew a lot of money. I would have told my younger self to invest in recession proof areas. I would have started taking advantage of being a Veteran and going after contracts specifically for my being a Woman Owned Minority Veteran Business.
How do you feel self-love & confidence impact one's journey as a CEO?
Self-love & confidence impacts my journey as a CEO in a powerful way. My confidence allows me to keep striving even if things don't go as planned. My self-love does not allow me to be down because I may not be where I thought I should be or would have wanted to be today. I absolutely love who I am, the woman I have evolved into and the Grace God continues to bestow upon me in my good, bad or indifferent HE loves me! Self-love and confidence reminds me daily to be my biggest fan no matter what.
What are you looking forward to most for the remainder of 2020?
I am expecting God to reveal the coordinates for all His promises He has spoken over my life. I look forward to trusting every word He has spoken and pray that I continue to yield my will to His. I learned to change what I see by changing how I see it. I see this shut down as an opportunity to recalibrate and truly be intentional to live your best life one day at a time rather than focusing on the distractions. Being grateful and remaining prayerful that things will turn out for our good.
