Racquel Marie Jones, playwright, director and was born and raised in Long Island, New York. With the home videos to prove it, Racquel has been passionate since an early age to sing, dance and perform before large audiences of all ages. Gifted to also write, teach and counsel, Racquel has stayed true to her passions and convictions to reach out to others to inspire, empower and touch the hearts of all whose paths she comes across.
After receiving her Master’s degree from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, Racquel has dedicated her life and time to serving and ministering to At- Risk populations and those less fortunate than herself. Her exposure to clients and people that suffers from generational curses of alcoholism, mental illness, homelessness, suicide, gang violence & foster care inspires her to write poetry and stage plays. Her dream goal is to open her own clinical private practice as well as theatre company using therapy & performing arts as a vehicle to introduce the world to God’s healing power Racquel is a licensed social worker with a concentration on Families & Children trained in individual, group and family therapy. Racquel Marie Jones is the writer, director, and producer of the phenomenal stage plays, “ Heaven Sent” and “ For Better or For Worse “ which has toured locally around Long Island since 2005 and 2008. Many call her writings entertaining, hilarious, inspirational, thought provoking and life changing. She refers to her writing as therapeutic and credits its success to Gods Holy Spirit which is a comforter and teacher. Racquel testifies “My prayer is not to be famous, but to be influential. My prayer is that God gets the Glory out of what I put my hands to whether its writing, singing, acting or performing. If God see’s fit to take my gifts in front of ten people or ten million, no matter the platform the message is still the same Because of Jesus I am empowered, gifted and FREE TO FLY and so are you if you believe. |
